Hello and welcome to the e-portfolio I crafted as my culminating experience for San José State University’s Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program.
In particular, the MLIS ePortfolio will document the fourteen competencies that I should possess at the end of the entire program. These competencies can be read in the Introduction page. Each class will fulfill certain competencies, and for each competency, I will describe how my coursework helped prepare me for the competency and include several pieces of evidence demonstrate my knowledge of each competency.
This introduction page serves to shine light upon the process that I undertook to produce the final iteration of the e-portfolio, as well as how this project is organized and structured. The other main elements of this portfolio can be found along the left navigational toolbar and include the following:
To successfully develop this experiential assignment, I started early in the program; having already completed a smaller eportfolio for my Library and Technology degree from Palomar College, I was used to collecting class assignments.
The MLIS ePortfolio is a work in progress. As I am still in the program, some of the pages might not be viewable.
